White Sulpher Springs
White Sulpher Springs
The mineral springs for which White Sulphur Springs was named were attracting attention for their avowed curative powers as early as 1772. The site of the original spring is on the grounds of the massive Greenbrier resort, which fuels the little town’s tourism industry. Today, the outdoor baths are gone, though guests at the Greenbrier can enjoy a soak in the indoor spa.
