Train Travel

Three major Amtrak lines travel to and from New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, which is also home to a beautiful 2,166-square-foot mural showing 400 years of New Orleans history that wraps around the interior of the station. The Crescent, operating daily, runs to and from New York and Washington, D.C., via Atlanta. Also daily, the City of New Orleans runs to and from Chicago via Memphis. Running three times weekly, the Sunset Limited runs to and from Los Angeles via Tucson and Houston.
