Tipping

Tipping is not only common but expected: Hawaii is a major vacation destination and many of the people who work at the hotels and resorts rely on tips to supplement their wages. Give $1 to bartenders, bellhops, and maids (more in an expensive luxury resort). Tip 15%–20% in restaurants and in taxis.
