Safety

Los Cabos is one of the safest areas in Mexico, but standard precautions always apply: Use your security safe in hotel rooms. Distribute your cash, credit cards, and IDs between a deep front pocket, an inside jacket pocket, and a hidden money pouch. Don't carry excessive amounts of cash. Leave your passport behind, with your other valuables, in your in-room safe—and be sure to make copies of your passport and credit cards and leave an extra copy with someone back home.
