Larry Bleiberg
Veteran travel writer Larry Bleiberg has served on a Pulitzer Prize team, is an eight-time Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Award winner, and was honored for editing the best newspaper travel section in North America. The Immediate Past President of the Society of American Travel Writers, he has written for the Washington Post, BBC Travel, the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Afar, Westways, Southbound, and many others. A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, he has been writing about travel for more than 25 years. He helped produce several National Geographic books, and created CivilRightsTravel.com, a travel guide to historic sites from the civil rights movement. He's a former editor with Coastal Living magazine, and Travel Editor of The Dallas Morning News. He has lived in Louisville, Kentucky; Vancouver, Canada; Dallas; and Birmingham, Alabama, and now resides in Charlottesville, Virginia.
