Kelsy Chauvin
Kelsy Chauvin lives among the brownstones of Fort Greene, Brooklyn, and makes regular visits to New Orleans and Seattle, her former hometowns. Since 2005, she’s worked as a freelance travel writer and photographer. She specializes in LGBTQ community and travel reporting, and also covers a variety of destinations and subjects -- from global gastronomy and nightlife, to seasonal events, cannabis tourism, and local arts and culture. Kelsy contributes to Fodor’s Travel, Condé Nast Traveler, Passport, CNN Travel, Afar, and other publications.
Kelsy is president of the New York Travel Writers Association (NYTW.info), and is a longtime member of the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA.org). As a speaker, she has participated on panels at the New York Times Travel Show, the PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference, Philadelphia Travel & Adventure Show, Travel Gay Canada Tourism Conference, and others. She's also been quoted in several New York Times articles as an LGBTQ travel expert.
