Katie Sammis

Katie’s travel writing has appeared in The East Hampton Star and Viator. Her travels have taken her across Europe and South America, and finally Africa with a trip to Senegal. Her work has also appeared in the New York Times and online publications including Your Tango and sheknows, and can be found at www.katiesammis.com. She won the Best Writing Award at the 2017 Brooklyn Web Fest for my writing on the web series Under the Weather, which has shown at film festivals around the world. She has a BA from Cornell University and an MS from Stanford University, and works in marketing. She lived in Paris and San Francisco, before settling in Brooklyn, NY.
