Taiwan in July, August: Better to Reschedule?
It's hard for my wife to get visas. We managed to get a visa to visit Taiwan. We were planning to go in May, but she had a sudden dental crisis, so we have to wait.
She can enter Taiwan as late as August. Is Taiwan so miserable in August it's better to reapply and go later? We were going to visit Hong Kong on the way. We visited Hong Kong in August last year, and it was nicer than Northern Florida, where we live.

Why would you think is "Taiwan so miserable in August"? We were there in July and the people were far from miserable. Quite the opposite, they were some of the friendliest , most engaging people we have encountered in our travels throughout Asia.

If you liked Hong Kong in August, you’ll be okay in Taiwan, too. You should go on with your August trip to Taiwan It’s quite similar to the weather in the summertime, especially if we consider northern Florida. Taiwan in August could be hot and humid but not too bad.
