Tassili /Algeria

last november/ december we went 15 days in Tassili south of Algeria. was really interesting. our guide was also perfect to drive us to the best point according of what we asked him. we could alsso stay with nomad family in desert. we didin't do camel ride but it's possible also for many days. he cna also drive you to Sefar but need average 7 days of walking to reach this point with many painting, as we aren't hikers... we didin't go!!!!

go to Tassili as really a nice destination

if necessary can give some information

Hi I think it’s great that you are highlighting Algeria, I’ve never been, but I was going to do but found it gets overlooked regarding decent information compared to other destinations. X

Hi Katie, you are right, Algeria isn't a so touristic country. Algeria government doesn't push for tourism as earn enough money with gaz and petrol he sells!

we visit only Tassili who is desert south of Algeria, just do 2 days stop in Alger the capital, who worth it. also long the cost on the north many places are interesting to visit.

for Tassili you don't need many information but just the right and reliable guide who will show you and drive you to discover according number of days you have this wonderful place. desert around Janet possible to be reach daily by plane from the capital , is different as can be red and with stones or totally yellow with sand dunes. and many drawings it's like the book of the life!
you can discover Tassili walking, with camels or with a car and driver as we did. in any case even you stay only few days or 2 weeks as us you will enjoy it.
