Heather Jasper is a freelance travel writer and photographer based in Cusco, Peru since 2019. Her articles about South America have been published by BBC Travel, Matador Network, Thrifty Nomads, World Nomads, Pedacitos Blog and more. Her travel guide app Peru's Best covers all the information necessary for a fantastic trip to Peru. Heather spent all of 2020 in Peru and created the Covid Relief Project to take emergency supplies to Andean communities isolated by the pandemic and strict quarantine. She is close to her goal of visiting every region in Peru, but her interests are not limited to one country. She visits Patagonia regularly and is working on a travel guide that will cover both Chilean and Argentine Patagonia. Heather is originally from Seattle and has previously lived and worked in France, Morocco, Türkiye, and Bangladesh. She taught French and Spanish for twelve years before devoting herself full time to writing.
