The largest ships in this category were once considered “big” themselves; no longer. And without the big size, you’ll also have a smaller list of amenities. While there’s no lack of entertainment and features on these ships, they tend not to have some of the more extravagant facilities like rock-climbing walls and miniature golf courses.

Entertainment is similarly limited. In addition to the traditional daytime activities, there will be ample nightlife, a casino, and shows, but there may not be full-scale Broadway performances and giant discos.

Dining options are usually varied and will often include alternative venues, including a few specialty restaurants to supplement one large main dining room. But the variety of offerings simply can’t match that of a large ship. There’s just not room.
