Belgrade

The Balkan's largest city, Belgrade, not only serves as the capital of Serbia but a hub for the entire region. It sits atop the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers in the center of the country and records settlement as far back as the early Stone Age. Today, Belgrade is again finding its voice and opening its doors to international investment. This has financed the building of new architectural gems as well as the renovation of many of the Tito-era blocks, Habsburg Art Nouveau buildings, and old Ottoman relics. Perhaps more than any city in the Balkans, Belgrade likes to party; its thumping nightlife and hedonistic parties attract revelers from around the globe.
