Air

Charleston International Airport is about 12 miles west of downtown. Charleston Executive Airport on Johns Island is used by noncommercial aircraft, as is Mount Pleasant Regional Airport.

Ground Transportation

Several cab companies serve the airport. Most companies, including Yellow Cab, average $25. Green Taxi, which offers hybrid vehicles, charges a minimum of $45 for an airport run. To ride in style, book a limo or other luxury vehicle through Charleston Black Cab Company or Charleston Downtown Limo.

Charleston International Airport Ground Transportation arranges shuttles for $14 per person to downtown. You can arrange to be picked up by the same service when returning to the airport by making a reservation with the driver.
