Room
Size and layout differ from room to room as some are located in the main house and others are in the carriage house, so browse the site’s photo galleries before booking. Lace canopied four-poster rice beds, patterned jabot drapes, and other ornate furnishings give the rooms an antique vibe, while 600-thread-count cotton sheets, blackout curtains, WiFi, and fully adjustable split heating and AC units keep the spaces modern enough.
Tip Most rooms offer only a queen, but two include a twin bed, too, meaning three travelers can fit (with a $30 fee).
Bathroom
Some suites have updated walk-in glass and tile showers while others have old-school curtained claw-foot tubs (if you have a preference, let it be known while booking). Large bottles of Nature’s Gate shampoo and conditioner lend a luxe feel to shower time.
Tip With exposed brick interior walls and fresh walk-in showers, carriage house rooms 101 and 102 are best suited for travelers craving a more modern aesthetic.

Guests lounge, mix, and mingle in a small parlor that could be at your grandma’s house (in a pleasant, homey way). You’ll also want to take a book or beverage with you onto one of the property’s three piazzas.
Dining
Freshly baked breads and coffee are set out at 8 a.m. while a hot plated breakfast (think pineapple upside-down French toast with sausage balls or a Southwestern frittata) is cooked on site and served in the dining room from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Drinking
The inn doesn’t have a liquor license, so no spirits here. However, tea and fresh baked goods are offered from 4 to 6 p.m.

Though you do have access to free off-street parking, you’re nestled in the residential Harleston Village neighborhood, so are within easy walking distance of most shops, restaurants, and bars. Rent some wheels from Holy Spokes, a bike sharing service, or hop on the free DASH trolley for a faster commute. Drive or ride-share your way to sites outside of downtown.
